Problem

Educators faced heavy planning and administrative work. External research cited by Microsoft found that 46.8% were considering leaving the profession within a year.

Approach

BCE gave Microsoft 365 Copilot to 12,500 educators and staff and joined a Copilot Chat preview for students aged 13 and over. Training used hands-on sessions and in-class coaching, and each school named an AI Captain as peer mentor. Teachers decide when AI is allowed in assessments.
