Amorepacific
LEMON research assistant on AI-ready R&D data (with KT)
Amorepacific and KT launched an AI assistant over 70 years of R&D records, with KT saying multi-system searches now take about five minutes
Problem
Millions of research records from more than 70 years of beauty R&D sat in separate systems. Finding ingredient, formulation and experiment data could take days or weeks.
Approach
KT ran a data project called Data Highway at Amorepacific's R&I Center to integrate and restructure the records for AI use. LEMON (Lab Efficiency Mode ON) uses that data to let researchers search and analyze ingredients, formulations, results and reports in natural language and returns answers drawn from several sources. The platform was announced on July 28, 2026. The companies plan to widen the data and add AI services and agents.
Results
Takeaway
The assistant followed work to combine research records from separate systems. KT reported shorter search times at launch, with no independent measurement published.
