Problem

Plant engineers spent hours tracing why dry cycle time rose on automated curing presses. Each press has more than 25 subelements to check.

Approach

Apollo built the Manufacturing Reasoner with AWS on Amazon Bedrock Agents. Engineers ask questions in natural language and get charts, statistical process control views and root-cause pointers, plus real-time and daily alerts. It was piloted and then scaled to three plants and more than 250 curing presses. Apollo planned to extend it to other areas.

Results

less than 10 minutestime to find a root cause per issue with the tool, per the AWS blogVendor case study[1]
88%reduction in effort for dry cycle time root-cause analysis, per the AWS blogVendor case study[1]
INR 15 milliontarget yearly saving in the passenger car radial division, per the AWS blogVendor case study[1]

Takeaway

The post gives both a 7-hour and a 2-hour baseline per issue, so the size of the time saving depends on which one is used.
