Avino Silver & Gold Mines
AI prospectivity mapping to rank exploration targets in Durango
Avino Silver & Gold Mines ranked exploration targets across its Durango claims with VRIFY's AI prospectivity maps
Problem
Avino explores an epithermal district in Durango, Mexico, where post-mineral cover hides parts of the geology. Decisions about where to look next were harder to make consistently across covered and exposed ground.
Approach
Avino became a VRIFY client in 2025 and used the DORA platform on the Avino Mine and the La Preciosa project. VRIFY compiled historical and current datasets, including airborne magnetic and electromagnetic data, and built prospectivity models for the whole claim block. Computer-vision outputs helped refine the structural interpretation. Avino's site geologists checked model results in the field, and those observations fed later model runs.
Results
No published figures
Takeaway
Avino used the models to rank targets and set up a repeatable path to ground checks and drill planning. The case study reports no discovery or cost figures, and exploration was still under way.

Source summaries
VRIFY describes how Avino used its DORA software to assess mineral potential across the Avino Mine and La Preciosa claims and to rank targets. It reports qualitative outcomes only: a property-wide view, more consistent decisions in covered areas and a repeatable framework for drill planning. Exploration was ongoing.
