Chime Financial
Automated notes and summaries for customer calls
Chime saved more than 250,000 hours annually by automating call summaries
Problem
Service agents divided their attention between callers and manual documentation. They also prepared summaries after calls.
Approach
Chime developed a hackathon prototype into a production application using Claude through Amazon Bedrock. It launched in February 2024 and became available for all calls. Transcripts were redacted before summarization.
Results
Takeaway
Automated documentation let agents concentrate on conversations. The retained summaries also gave agents context when members called again.
