Coopérative U
IDA fresh-produce order recommendations
Coopérative U expanded IDA ordering assistance to nearly 300 stores by August 2025
Problem
Fresh-produce teams needed to order enough stock while limiting waste and excess inventory. Recommendations had to fit the cooperative's existing store systems.
Approach
Coopérative U tested IDA in 5 stores during the first half of 2024. The software estimated stock and proposed orders using sales history and local conditions. Staff could change recommendations before approving orders for transfer into U-Métiers.
Results
Takeaway
Employees retained approval of orders while AI supplied quantities within their existing workflow. The rollout count measured deployment rather than a network-wide reduction in waste.
