DeNA

Company-wide rollout of the Devin AI software engineer

DeNA put Devin in front of about 2,000 employees and reported a legacy API migration finished in about a month

Problem

DeNA had legacy code and long manual checks in its development work. It wanted to find out whether an autonomous AI engineer could shorten them.

Approach

DeNA formed a strategic tie with Devin's maker Cognition AI in July 2025. It ran a staged rollout over about half a year: technical checks by core members, a beta close to real projects, then company-wide release. Devin Enterprise became available to about 2,000 staff on 4 March 2026, and more than 40 teams had started using it.

Results

6倍work efficiency gain in the headline, as reported from DeNA's announcement; the basis was not statedCompany's own claim[1]
2倍development speed of a new mobile app, per DeNA as reported by ITmediaCompany's own claim[1]
10分の1at most one-tenth of the previous time for specification checks, per DeNA as reported by ITmediaCompany's own claim[1]

Takeaway

DeNA reported gains on several tasks, but the figures are its own and come from different tasks, so they do not add up to one number.
