WorkingCompany's own claim

Problem

Searching CCTV recordings manually slowed efforts to trace missing people, including children and people with dementia.

Approach

TOSS was developed and tested during 2022–2023 through a government-supported programme. Operational searches began in June 2024. Police supplied descriptions, provincial staff approved requests, and the CCTV centre searched footage using clothing and physical characteristics.

Results

29missing people whose discovery the system helped, June 2024 through October 2026, according to JejuCompany's own claim[1]
286people covered by police searches supported over that period, according to JejuCompany's own claim[1]

Takeaway

Jeju counted searches supported separately from discoveries assisted. The discovery figure described a contribution to police searches.
