JusticIA: in-house generative AI platform for court staff

San Juan's judiciary put its own AI platform into use in November 2025 for anonymising, transcribing and summarising

In progressCompany's own claim

Problem

Court staff needed to anonymise sensitive data, transcribe hearings and summarise files.

Approach

The judiciary's IT directorate built JusticIA under General Agreement 85/2025. Resolution 88/25 put it into use from 3 November 2025. It anonymises data, transcribes audio and video, summarises documents, rewrites legal texts in plain language and helps with drafting. It may not take decisions, and the judicial school is to train all staff. In 2026 the national trademark office registered the JusticIA name for the court.

No figures published

Takeaway

JusticIA supported court staff with document work while decisions remained with people. No usage or time-saving figures were reported.

Diario Judicial reports that the national trademark office registered the JusticIA mark for San Juan's judiciary. The court's IT directorate built the tool under General Agreement 85/2025 to draft documents, summarise rulings and transcribe hearings.
