Pusan National University Yangsan Hospital
DeepCARS early warning for inpatient cardiac-arrest risk
Yangsan Hospital reported earlier intervention in at least 3–4 patients monthly with DeepCARS
Problem
Ward staff needed to identify deteriorating patients early enough to intervene before cardiac arrest.
Approach
The hospital used VUNO Med DeepCARS to estimate cardiac-arrest risk within 24 hours from vital signs. An alert prompted staff to transfer a patient awaiting lung transplantation to intensive care and stabilize the patient with ECMO. A dedicated early-warning nurse reported earlier recognition and intervention in at least 3–4 cases monthly.
Results
Takeaway
The warning fed into a clinical response involving intensive-care transfer and treatment. The reported monthly count described interventions, rather than a measured reduction in cardiac arrests.
