Problem

Care managers at Regis homes had to read long 24-hour reports of progress and handover notes before morning meetings. The reading took time away from residents.

Approach

Regis built RegiCare Assist with Cognizant on Microsoft Copilot Studio and Microsoft Foundry. It summarises daily notes and flags concerns such as clinical trends, agitation and signs of pain or infection, using approved prompts. It has been in use since September 2025 by about 150 employees across 72 homes.

Results

68 pageslength of one 24-hour report that became a three-page summary, as described by a clinical care manager to MicrosoftVendor case study[1]
about 150 employeesstaff using the tool, per MicrosoftVendor case study[1]
72 aged care homeshomes where it is in use, per MicrosoftVendor case study[1]

Takeaway

Regis kept the tool as an aid to staff judgment. Microsoft's account says it is too early to say whether it improved clinical governance, and the feedback is largely anecdotal.
