Azure AI document processing
Volvo Group saves 10,000 manual hours by automating document processing
Problem
Bills and other documents arrive as emails, scanned PDFs and paper, often with stamps, images or multi-page tables.
Approach
A six-week proof of concept turned into a four-month production build with Azure AI services. Output goes out as XML or CSV depending on the receiving division. A Power BI report tracks processing time and success rate.
