Airport Authority Hong Kong
UISEE AI Driver for autonomous airport logistics
UISEE reported that Hong Kong airport's autonomous fleet passed 4 million kilometres
Problem
Round-the-clock airport logistics required shift coverage for tractor drivers. Recruiting and staffing those operations put pressure on ground-handling costs.
Approach
The airport deployed UISEE's AI Driver in designated operating zones. Autonomous tractors transported baggage and cargo alongside human-driven vehicles. They detached trailers at aircraft stands and returned to handover areas for their next assignments.
Results
Takeaway
Automating the transfer route also changed the work at its endpoints, including trailer release and vehicle handover.
