AI agent for food-expiry labelling in hotel kitchens
Atour said an AI agent for food-expiry labels saves over 300,000 hours a year across its hotels
Problem
Hotel kitchen staff labelled hundreds of ingredients with expiry dates by hand and checked the dates manually. Mistakes could leave gaps in food safety and management.
Approach
Atour combined Feishu multi-dimensional tables, an AI agent and IoT devices into a system with an execution loop and a feedback loop. Staff report tasks by voice or photo, the system turns them into standard data, and it then handles labelling and warehouse entry. The company operates more than 1,900 hotels. The project won gold at the first Feishu AI Efficiency Pioneer competition final on 3 December 2025, which Feishu organized.
Results
Takeaway
Staff gave input by voice or photo, so the system did not depend on standard forms.
