Microsoft 365 Copilot and custom Azure OpenAI assistants
Canadian asset manager BCI: 84% of Copilot users report a 10-20% productivity gain
Problem
BCI, which manages C$250 billion in gross assets, wanted to cut routine writing, note-taking and survey analysis for its staff.
Approach
BCI started with Microsoft 365 Copilot for 300 employees and rotated licenses to reach more than 570 users. It also built more than 22 solutions on Azure OpenAI, including an assistant that drafts sections of internal audit reports and a tool that analyzed HR survey comments.
Results
Takeaway
BCI paired a general assistant with small purpose-built tools. The productivity figures come from a survey of its own Copilot users, reported by Microsoft.
