Globe Telecom
Company-wide generative AI and machine learning initiatives, measured for business value
Globe Telecom said its AI work produced P1.2 billion in measurable benefits, a 2.8x return, by August 2026
Problem
Globe, the Philippines' mobile operator with 67.7 million mobile customers, had pushed AI use across the company and was asked what it earned. The company wanted to measure the value of AI in pesos.
Approach
Globe measured benefits from its generative AI and AI/ML initiatives as of August 2026. It counted extra revenue from tailored offers across Globe Rewards, roaming, lending and postpaid, cost avoidance in finance, customer engagement, marketing technology and order management, and productivity from automation. AI use had reached 90% of the organisation, and more than 450 employees belonged to an internal community of AI builders.
Results
Takeaway
About two-thirds of the claimed benefit was extra revenue. Globe reported a 2.8x return in its first enterprise measurement but did not disclose total AI spending.
