Iveco Group
Chat IVG, an internal chatbot on Azure OpenAI that answers questions from company documents
Iveco Group's Teams chatbot grew from 5 users to hundreds and scored 4.7 out of 5 with employees
Problem
Iveco Group has more than 35,000 employees at 20 industrial sites and eight brands. Staff needed a faster way to find information in the company's own data and documents.
Approach
Iveco Group built Chat IVG on Azure OpenAI Service and made it available in Microsoft Teams. A small group from IT and business functions tried it first, with no pressure to finish set tasks. Word of mouth spread it to 25 users and then hundreds. Iveco and Microsoft ran events for managers, then gave the rest of the company a website, webinars and other training. Use was voluntary. Chat IVG also became the base for other AI projects, some already in production.
Results
Takeaway
Iveco let a small, unpressured group build demand before it trained managers and then everyone else.
