AI threat detection at Maebashi Red Cross Hospital

Maebashi Red Cross Hospital linked AI threat detection across about 150 switches to automatic backups

WorkingVendor case studyVendor ↗

Problem

Medical equipment restricted the installation of endpoint security software. A small security team also struggled to investigate alerts and assess threats.

Approach

The hospital deployed Cisco XDR to analyze network behavior and prioritize incidents using AI. It collected NetFlow from about 150 switches and connected incident detection to Cohesity DataProtect, which automatically created backups.

Results

~150network switches supplying NetFlow to XDR, according to CiscoVendor case study[1]

Takeaway

Network monitoring covered equipment that could not accept endpoint agents. The hospital also revised its response drills around early incident detection.
