Problem

Kojamo, a Finnish rental housing company, wanted to cut energy use in its Lumo homes without letting indoor temperatures drift.

Approach

Kojamo said it had used AI for several years to optimise indoor temperatures in Lumo apartments, across a large part of its portfolio. The system monitors temperatures in real time and can hold them to an accuracy of 0.1°C. Kojamo described it in an October 2022 release about the Down a degree energy saving campaign.

Results

0.1°Cindoor temperature control accuracy, per KojamoCompany's own claim[1]

Takeaway

Kojamo gave no savings figure. The release states the temperature accuracy only.
