Lithuanian National Agency for Education
AI extraction and scoring of school management reports
Lithuania's education agency cut manual report analysis by 99% with a watsonx.ai tool
Problem
The agency receives more than 3,000 school management reports a year in varied formats. Staff extracted data from each report by hand, which took about four hours for a report of around 10 pages.
Approach
IBM partner S2P built a solution on IBM watsonx.ai. It reads the reports and scores 14 criteria defined by the agency on a 0 to 3 scale. The scores feed dashboards that also draw on data from more than 40 national registers.

Takeaway
Reading unstructured reports was the slow step. Once the AI handled it, staff could work from scored results.
