Nippon Kanzai Holdings
In-house GPT chatbots (NK-AIbot, NK-AIbot-D1) for group staff
Nippon Kanzai's group staff used an in-house GPT chatbot more than 30,000 times in five months
Problem
Staff at the building-management group needed help with drafting, summarizing and finding answers in internal manuals and proposals. Public AI services raised data-handling concerns.
Approach
The group launched NK-AIbot on GPT-3.5 in June 2023 and moved it to GPT-4 in August 2023. It ran in a dedicated Microsoft cloud environment, and stored data was not reused for other purposes. In December 2023 it added NK-AIbot-D1, which combines full-text search with GPT so staff can query operations manuals and proposal documents.
