Offerpad
SCOUT machine-learning intake, routing and call analysis for home sellers
Offerpad credited its SCOUT intake platform with a 200-basis-point gain in home contracting rates
Problem
Offerpad buys and lists homes and needs to turn homeowner inquiries into signed contracts. Each seller had to be sent to a product they qualify for, and advisors needed feedback on their calls.
Approach
Offerpad built SCOUT in-house. It uses machine learning on past transaction data, homeowner behavior and market signals to find likely sellers and route each one to a fitting offer, such as the Cash Offer Marketplace or a brokerage listing. The company also uses AI to analyze call center conversations and coach advisors. A dynamic intake form and cross-checks against third-party data were still being built.
Results
Takeaway
Offerpad tied the gain to routing homeowners to the right product and to call coaching. It gave no baseline rate or time period for the 200 basis points.
