OSE Immunotherapeutics

MAbSilico AI software for antibody discovery and design

OSE Immunotherapeutics widened its use of MAbSilico AI software from 6 antibody programs to 16

Problem

Antibody drug candidates often fail late in development, and preclinical work is slow. OSE wanted to lower that risk and speed up its antibody programs.

Approach

OSE began working with MAbSilico in early 2020 on 6 programs. The software combines AI, numerical simulation and data mining, from choosing a target epitope through to optimizing a humanized lead. In January 2021 the agreement was expanded by 10 programs. The tools were also used to identify vaccine target epitopes for CoVepiT, and the two companies planned a joint design platform that combines OSE's database with MAbSilico's tools.

Results

6 programs, then 10 moreantibody programs covered by the initial 2020 agreement and by the 2021 expansion, per OSECompany's own claim[1]
about 2 weekstime to identify CoVepiT vaccine target epitopes, per MAbSilico's CEOCompany's own claim[1]

Takeaway

OSE extended the collaboration after a year, but the release reports no efficacy results from the designed antibodies.
