Saks

Generative AI summaries for customer-service calls

Saks cut after-call work by 15 seconds per interaction with AI summaries

WorkingVendor case studyVendor ↗

Problem

Customer-service agents had to update records and write detailed notes after calls. This work took time across a large volume of customer contacts.

Approach

Saks built an automatic call-summary solution with Amazon Transcribe and Amazon Bedrock. Transcribe converted speech to text, and generative AI condensed calls into short summaries.

Results

15 secondsreduction in after-call work per interaction, per AWSVendor case study[1]

Takeaway

Saks reduced the documentation work that followed customer calls. The reported saving applied to after-call work rather than the whole interaction.
