Smartsheet
Claude Code and Claude Enterprise across engineering, IT and operations
Smartsheet's engineers shipped 3x more code with Claude Code, and AI handled 30% of IT helpdesk tickets
Problem
Smartsheet wanted its engineers and other staff to work faster across coding, documentation, IT support and routine reviews. It also wanted to test the AI features it was building for customers on its own work.
Approach
Smartsheet rolled out Claude Code to more than 500 engineers and Claude Enterprise to all employees in early 2026. Engineers built a nine-agent template for the software development lifecycle that covers planning, implementation, code review and merge requests. Other teams used Claude for IT helpdesk automation, a churn scoring pipeline and the review of nonprofit grant applications.

Takeaway
The company reported gains in several functions at once, from code output to helpdesk tickets. It did not say how it measured the peer comparisons.
