Copilot summaries of adviser-client meetings

AMP advisers got client-meeting summaries in 10 to 15 minutes with Microsoft 365 Copilot

Problem

Advisers held 8 to 10 client meetings a week. Each one-hour meeting needed about 45 minutes of summary work afterwards. AMP also wanted better records because its advice and fees had been examined by a royal commission.

Approach

AMP gave aligned and independent advisers Microsoft 365 Copilot to record, transcribe and summarise client meetings. The rollout covered the adviser network, and a policy framework governed data security, privacy and generative AI use. AMP did not yet trust AI tools for calculations, modelling or advice documents.

Results

Takeaway

AMP limited the tool to documentation, where errors are easy to check, and kept it away from advice content.
