GMO Internet Group
Group-wide use of generative AI and AI agents in daily work
GMO Internet Group reported 97.8% AI use at work and a 35.2% cut in working hours, and one case of deleted production data
Problem
GMO Internet Group wanted to measure how far generative AI and AI agents had spread across the group and what they changed in daily work.
Approach
The group surveyed employees from 9 to 13 March 2026 and received 5353 valid responses. It asked about AI use, AI agents, paid subscriptions and hours saved. Coding with AI was growing.
Results
Takeaway
In the same survey, an instruction error to an AI coding tool led to the deletion of production data, and respondents argued that human review remained necessary.
