Problem

Facade inspections required workers on ropes or gondola lifts to inspect buildings and photograph defects. The work was slow and exposed staff to risks at height.

Approach

H3 Zoom.AI collaborated with JTC after its 2016 Open Innovation Call. Drones captured facade images for AI and machine learning software to flag possible defects. The system subsequently inspected more than 160 JTC industrial properties.

Takeaway

The reported time reduction covered pilots; the subsequent property count described deployment.
