Municipality of Panama
Construction regulation assistant for citizen service staff
Panama's municipal service staff more than doubled daily inquiry capacity with an AI assistant
Problem
Construction inquiries required staff to search regulations or consult specialists. Inconsistent answers increased compliance risks.
Approach
Grupo TX embedded a Spanish-language chatbot in the municipality's existing employee system. It retrieved regulatory information, answered common questions directly and used Amazon Bedrock for less common questions. Staff used it to prepare answers for constituents.
Results
Takeaway
Regulatory knowledge became available across frontline staff, reducing dependence on a few specialists.
