Portea Medical

Voice agents for caregiver recruitment and patient outreach

Portea used voice agents to contact former caregivers as hiring grew more than 33% year on year

Problem

Staff shortages prevented Portea from meeting care demand. Recruiters struggled to make first calls across local languages and revisit former caregivers.

Approach

Portea piloted Sarvam's Neha voice agent in March 2026, then expanded calls to recruitment leads and former patients. Its CRM sent campaign batches to Sarvam, and interested respondents became leads for recruiters or sales staff.

Results

80,000+prospective staff engaged through voice agents, per SarvamVendor case study[1]
33%+year-on-year hiring growth after adjustment for seasonal swings, per SarvamVendor case study[1]
40,000+patients engaged over 2.5 months, per SarvamVendor case study[1]

Takeaway

Voice agents handled initial outreach while employees closed recruitment and service requests. The reported hiring growth did not isolate the effect of AI from other changes.
