Brasil TecPar
CORTEX cognitive network operations center
Brasil TecPar cut network alert noise by more than 70% and sped up fiber-break response by 84% with an AI operations center
Problem
Brasil TecPar grew through dozens of acquisitions and ran a large fiber network across nine states and the Federal District. Alerts from many sources piled up, and the operations team struggled to separate real faults from noise.
Approach
The company built CORTEX, a cognitive network operations center, with IBM. It used IBM Cloud Pak for AIOps to correlate events, filter alerts and predict failures. IBM Maximo Application Suite handled asset management and automated work orders. The rollout followed the IBM Garage method.

Takeaway
Fewer, better-correlated alerts let a network team spend its time on real faults. Growth by acquisition made that filtering necessary.
