Problem

Deliveroo's grocery invoices needed extensive manual review. Existing OCR struggled with complex documents.

Approach

Deliveroo connected Rossum's invoice extraction with Coupa. Automation began in August 2024, followed by a full switch in April 2025. Rossum extracted invoice data and matched it to purchase orders before posting into Coupa.

Results

45transactions per hour per user, previously 2, according to RossumVendor case study[1]
35%average HOP invoice automation, against a 70% target, according to RossumVendor case study[1]

Takeaway

Higher processing throughput coexisted with partial automation. The reported 35% automation rate remained below the 70% target.
