Goosehead Insurance

AI virtual assistant for pre-qualifying clients and rescheduling missed calls

Goosehead Insurance raised its appointment booking rate from about 60% to more than 80% with a Vonage AI virtual assistant

Problem

Fewer than half of the clients who had pre-booked a call with a Goosehead agent answered it. Agents lost time chasing missed calls, and many clients never reached a quote.

Approach

Goosehead used Vonage's AI Virtual Assistant. It pre-qualifies clients and offers callers who cancel a more convenient time. It sends reschedule links, or connects the client straight to an agent when they are ready. The system launched in 2024.

Results

about 60% to more than 80%appointment booking rate, which Vonage says is now consistently above 80%Vendor case study[1]
fewer than 50%share of pre-scheduled calls that clients answered before the change, per the articleVendor case study[1]
more than 600,000new clients assisted by phone since launch, per the articleVendor case study[1]

Takeaway

An assistant that catches missed or cancelled calls and offers a new slot at once can recover bookings that agents would otherwise chase by hand.
