Métropole Télévision (Groupe M6)
Alfred, an in-house generative AI assistant
M6 gave its 2,000 employees Alfred, an internal assistant built on Claude and hosted in Europe
Problem
M6 used about ten generative AI tools across the group and wanted one main assistant for everyday office work.
Approach
The group built Alfred on Anthropic's Claude, running on a secure LLM on servers in Europe. Since early March 2025 it has been available by default to all group employees, about 2,000 people. Staff use it for meeting preparation, document summaries, drafting, translation, coding help and analysis of show performance. M6 said other models could be added later.
Results
Takeaway
M6 switched the tool on for everyone by default instead of opening it to volunteers. The interview gave no usage statistics.
