Problem

The National Health Authority needed to explain senior-citizen health coverage to people with uneven access to smartphones. Human call centres were expensive to expand.

Approach

NHA and Sarvam configured Samvaad voice agents for an awareness pilot for Ayushman Vay Vandana Yojana. The campaign ran over ordinary telephone connections and supported conversations in 5 languages.

Results

Over 1.4 millionunique citizens reached in 6 days, per SarvamVendor case study[1]
2.57 millionoutreach attempts, per SarvamVendor case study[1]
42%increase in average daily enrolments in target states versus the previous 30 days; correlation, per SarvamVendor case study[1]

Takeaway

Daily enrolments rose during the campaign, but Sarvam explicitly described the relationship as correlation. The increase did not establish how many enrolments the calls caused.
