Rexel

Unifai product classification and enrichment

Rexel reported Unifai supplied classifications for 43% of products its internal algorithm could not resolve

Problem

Missing ETIM categories made products harder to find in Rexel's webshop. Manual classification required specialist product knowledge.

Approach

Rexel France adopted Unifai through its product information management supplier Akeneo. It focused the AI on products that its internal classifier could not categorize and also used attribute extraction.

Results

43%answers provided within the product subset Rexel's internal classifier could not classify, per the vendor storyVendor case study[1]
98%accuracy of AI suggestions audited by Rexel, as reported by UnifaiVendor case study[1]

Takeaway

Coverage and accuracy measured different things: answers for difficult products did not mean every catalog item could be classified.
