Problem

Store employees struggled to find information in extensive operating manuals. Instructions appeared in text, diagrams and tables.

Approach

NEC and ProofX developed a chat-based search system that interpreted these formats and answered employee questions. They refined it through store-employee trials. Rollout began in late January 2026 and covered at least 1,000 stores by the end of February.

Results

1,000+stores covered by the end of February 2026, with at least 1,000 reported by NEC and ProofXVendor case study[1]

Takeaway

Employee trials informed the system before store rollout. The suppliers reported deployment scale without quantifying time saved.
